If you ever had the pleasure of meeting my friend Miki Black, then you know the breath of fresh air she brings to a room along with her. She is one of the most selfless, humble, intelligent, funny, and generous women I've had the pleasure of knowing. She's a talented artist, singer/songwriter, guitarist, model, and runs a tutoring franchise with her father. It is all my pleasure to call her my friend.

In addition to being one of my best friends, Miki has supported me in my business, Trashy Lingerie, for close to 15 years now. She has incredible perseverance and chose to work with me even after being diagnosed with cancer. Taking on the biggest challenge of her life with grace and strength, she began thinking how she could help others. Together we came up with the idea of doing themed photoshoots wearing PINK in support of breast cancer awareness. Even while undergoing chemo and surgeries, fighting fatigue, and losing her hair, she has continued to work and shoot with me throughout her battle.

Here is Miki's story:

In July of 2016, she was diagnosed with an aggressive form of breast cancer called HER2-positive, along with being estrogen and progesterone receptor positive, the combo called Triple Positive. Luckily, it was caught in early stages, but as the cancer is aggressive, the treatment is equally aggressive.

Facing a year-long battle, she is now a little more than halfway through. She has gone through 6 rounds of chemo, along with Herceptin and Perjeta, which are the drugs that make this once untreatable cancer, now treatable. She will continue Herceptin infusions until September of 2017.

She's already had 3 surgeries, the first to install a port for infusions, the second was a "nipple delay" to keep them from being removed, and the third was a double mastectomy with reconstruction. She is currently going through physical therapy to regain her range of motion and will require it again following her final surgery just a few weeks from now.

Miki has accumulated a great deal of medical bills from her out of pocket expenses, including insurance deductibles, co-pays for both 2016 and 2017, surgical fees, and additional expenses for uncovered portions of her medical treatments.

Being single, with her family living out of state and helping remotely, she only has her friends here to help when needed.

NOW IT'S OUR TURN TO HELP MIKI !

Any help to lessen her financial burden and the stress it's causing is tremendously appreciated!

PLEASE HELP AND DONATE NOW.
And remember sharing is caring!

Thanking you in advance for your compassion, love and support for my dear friend Miki :-)
